I was born on a cool fall night of October 11th at 4pm, and was raised all my life in beautiful Orange County, CA. My wonderful mother is Swedish and my father Pequot Indian (his name was even Blue!), giving me a fairly unusual ethnic blend. I consider myself lucky to have two great younger siblings; a brother named Jeremy Blue (age 14) and a sister named Sarah Dawn (age 19). We were raised with tons of pets and animals, and learned many unique lessons from our goldminer/timberfaller grandpa. He taught us how to pan for gold, survive in the woods with no luxuries and how to explore abandoned cabins without falling through the floor (giggle), while my grandmother taught us how to garden, play piano, cook and sew. I am and have always been an complete tomboy, and loved to do anything the boys do - whether it was playing Football, Little League Baseball or most importantly, Hockey. In fact, hockey became such a big part of my life, I would practice and train every morning, then play 2+ league or pickup games every night I could. When the day came that I was good enough to start traveling on the adult co-ed competition teams as a forward, I was ecstatic - that was such a great accomplishment for me!
From the ages of 5 through 16, I was beaten and severely teased by my merciless peers. I had always been a genuine bookworm (I began reading at the age of 2) and had big coke-bottle glasses, bad hair and came from a poor family. So when I graduated high school at the age of 15 and began college as a Psychology Major, it only made matters worse. Even in college, fellow students treated me badly and would laugh when my mom dropped me off at school. (I was too young to drive myself) Believing no one should have to tolerate such antagonism, I decided to prove to them, myself and everybody else that I AM somebody special, regardless of what they say or think. I had always wanted to be either a rock star or a model ever since I was a little girl. The rock star thing wasn't working out, so I went with my girlfriend to her "agency" and signed my first (non-exclusive-pay-us-$500-for-nothing) contract at 17. They basically took my money, filled my head with dreams, then sat on their butts and started avoiding my phone calls. When my contract expired a year later, I decided to make things happen on my own and (gulp) started representing myself. I don't have an agent and haven't had one since 1998, and I don't regret one second of it because everything I've ever done, I've done for myself. I am so happy with where I'm at today and it just seems to get better with every passing day! I take great pride in the fact that I am where I am, because I MADE it happen for myself. I'm living proof that if you really do want something badly enough, you really can have it!
Deep down inside, I find myself thanking all the people who tormented me in my younger years, because they helped me to have the will that has driven me to make the absolute most of myself, and to go as far as possible in everything that I do. Whenever I feel down, I just remember being the biggest nerd in town for 17 years, and then look at where I'm headed now and wow! I never would have thought it could've gone this far. (Take THAT all you ex-boyfriends of mine! giggle) Thank you to everyone that has shown me their support and thank you to everyone that hasn't, because either way both sides are motivating me.
More About Skye Gotta love sports! I love anything that has to do with sports! My first love is hockey, a game I play on co-ed teams, as a roller hockey forward, and an ice hockey goalie. I also love to play baseball, and love to rough it up with the boys playing football. Jet-skiing, deep sea fishing and wrestling are also among my favorites. Friends say I'm feisty, but easy to love. "A total tomboy", most say. (Hey, can I help it if doing boys' stuff is fun?!) In fact, I even went so far as to graduating the Police Explorer academy at Camp
Pendleton a while back - I trained as an Explorer for 5 years! Bet you didn't know... I also love horseback riding (I used to bronc ride), drag racing, heavy metal and punk music; I play double-kick drums (speed metal/heavy metal style), electric guitar, bass guitar and piano (16 yrs.), and also graduated high school (diploma) and began college as a psychology major at the age of 15. I also looove computers and graphic art, and have completely designed the layout and graphics for 4 different websites, including this one. (Hey, who said blondes had to be dumb?!) PS: Skye owns a very cool "pick-up truck" Imagine That You Go Girl!! Skye's Truck - A tribute to Truckers Everywhere - Makes You Proud to be American!!
